LONG TIME LIGHTNING PLAYER ACCEPTS INVITATION TO PLAY AT BRYANT UNIVERSITY

Timmy Kiggins has accepteed a spot on the Bryant University Men’s Basketball team for the 2019-2020 season. Timmy started with Lightning when he was in the 3rd Grade when he played for Coach Chris Beetz. He remained with that team for five consecutive years before playing with Lightning High School teams coached by Sky Khaleel and Tim Blackford.

Timmy played his high school ball at Holy Trinity where this past winter, he led Trinity to the Nassau Suffolk Catholic High School Championship. In his last game, Timmy led Trinity to an upset win over Chaminade.

Timmy stated that ” my years with Lightning prepared me to play at the highest level against the best competition but most importantly, it led to lifelong friendships”. He expressed his deep appreciation to all his coaches and teammates.

All of us here at Lightning are so proud of Timmy. His work ethic and dedication to his teammates were the reasons for his tremendous skill growth as a player and his overall success. We wish Timmy the best as he moves on to another level in his basketball career. Great to see another Lightning player in Division l Basketball.
