Now in our thirty-first season, the Island Garden Super League has evolved into one of the most successful youth basketball leagues in the country. We are the TOP basketball league in the New York Metropolitan area. We work with all other leagues to ensure our young athletes can participate as much as possible in the great game of basketball.
Super League is designed for everyone! There are divisions for boys and girls ranging from the third to the twelfth grade. Wherever possible, each grade is broken down into three ability levels to foster equal competition.
It is our goal to provide an excellent experience for every team regardless of its final winning percentage. We make every effort to meet your scheduling requests so that your participation does not conflict with other leagues and that whenever possible, we will match teams against others with equal ability. Providing friendly and excellent service to you is our primary goal. Service is the true value of our league.

SUPER LEAGUE HIGHLIGHTS
We play games at convenient locations in Nassau and Suffolk. This provides a great setting for Suffolk County teams so that they do not always have to travel long distances to play league games.
You choose the number of games which you will play. Your team can play 6, 8, 10, 12, 15, 18, 20 or 24 games. (NEW-8 games is the minimum to be eligible for the playoffs)
We respect your schedules from other leagues so that you do not have to choose one over another. You submit your CYO, PAL, etc. schedule in a timely manner and we will make every effort to ensure that there will be no direct conflict.
Referees are observed by senior officials and rated by league administrators with input from coaches. Assignments are distributed based on those ratings and observations.
Our staff is comprised of top professionals in the field who are constantly recognized for their customer service, innovation, experience, and expertise. This staff is hired by outside organizations to run their events and manage their membership and activities. Our staff has been retained in the past to schedule the AAU Boys National Championships!
Our Island Garden website (www.islandgarden.com) is used to publicize schedules, game results, standings, highlights, changes, and open games. The website is compatible with smart phones. Game results and urgent news releases are posted immediately.
We also rely heavily on text messages to communicate with our coaches and administrators. This removes the need for back and forth calling.
Finally, social media (Twitter, Facebook & Instagram) will publicize game highlights and action pictures.
All schedules are published on the Internet as well as game and opponent changes. In addition, we utilize a system that automatically and immediately updates scores and standings. Coaches and/or team administrators are responsible for being aware of all updates posted @ www.islandgarden.com
