On December 2nd, we opened the 30th Season of Super League. To say we are proud of our longevity and success would certainly be an understatement. We hope that all our players, parents, coaches, and administrators agree with the saying we rely on, “Our experience is our expertise”. 

Let me begin by expressing my deepest gratitude for the tremendous support and loyalty that our teams and players have shown us over the past three decades. We have always tried our best to provide every player and coach with a tremendous and memorable experience each and every season. We value the commitment and loyalty you have shown us.

This year will start very different in that we will not be in our home in West Hempstead where we thrived for 28 years. Instead, we will be playing at 20 distinct locations. Our customer service will remain our primary commitment to you. We want to express our deepest gratitude to all our loyal supporters. We have heard continuously on a daily basis that everyone is remaining with us during this period of transition. Despite the loss of the physical building of Island Garden, Super League has grown larger. We welcome back two full organizations that left our competitor to join us. That is a great compliment which we cherish.

Lightning Basketball continues to grow both in size and strength. It is one of the largest and most successful AAU programs in the country.

We also wish to express our thanks to such great loyal partners who have been with us for many years. Those great AAU partners include Level Up, Rising Stars, Game 7, and Empire Basketball. The foundation of our league, for three decades, is community-based organizations such as the Garden City Athletic Association, Jericho Athletic Association, Syosset Basketball League, Plainview PAL, St. Bernard CYO and Elmont Cardinals.  In all, we expect to have over 250 teams in the Super League this season.

We are always trying to be better! This year, we have hired a media professional who will be in charge of all social media postings as well as other forms of communication. Among other initiatives, we will be posting frequent stories about the progress of the league and player highlights.

There is so much more that I very much want to tell you. Be assured we have been working hard every day on something incredibly special. Stay tuned.
