This elite training session will be led by the AAU National Director of Training, Jim Fox, a true professional with 19 years of Division 1 college coaching experience. The program was developed in direct response to past criticisms that AAU does not provide effective training for its athletes. This initiative is here to change that narrative—with real, focused, high-level skill development.
When: Tuesday, April 29
Where: Nassau Community College
Who: Open to boys and girls, Grades 2–8
SCHEDULE
6:00–7:45 PM: Grades 2–5
7:45 –9:15 PM: Grades 6–8
COST: $50.00 for current AAU members / $70.00 for Non-Members
This is not your typical training session with amateur or inexperienced coaches. For 90-minutes, athletes will train under the direction of a former Division 1 high-level coach who has worked with elite talent—including NBA superstar Steph Curry.
The focus will be on developing fundamental skills such as:
Shooting
Ball handling
Passing
Proper footwork
Offensive tendencies and decision-making
We will give you a blueprint through drills to improve your game. These are drills you can take with you and use day in and day out to grow every aspect of your performance.
Coach Jim Fox, along with other top-level clinicians, will ensure every athlete receives detailed, professional instruction in an environment focused on real improvement.
