Coach Eiber and his longtime partner and now New York State Supreme Court Justice, Hon. Lee A. Mayersohn formed the The Law Firm of Eiber & Mayersohn in 1987. Since 2005 he has maintained a solo law practice primarily in the fields of Criminal Law and Wills, Trusts & Estates. He served on the Hofstra Law School adjunct faculty for Trial Techniques program for 32 years.
Bruce Eiber served as President and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Criminal Court Bar Association of Queens County and Queens County Delegate to the General Practice Section of the New York State Bar Association.
An avid tennis player, Eiber has been ranked number one in every age division from 25-50 and over in Eastern Tennis Association Men’s Doubles. In 2000 he was the number one ranked player in both singles and doubles in the Men’s 50 and over division and top 5 in Men’s 50 and over national by the United States Tennis Association. The same year he played in the World Championships in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
Eiber was previously honored as Volunteer of the Year by the Eastern Tennis Association and by the Queens Chapter of the American Red Cross.
Bruce and Lightning Basketball Executive Director Jim Fox are founders of FE Hoops, an entry level travel basketball program and feeder program for Lightning Basketball. Teams are formed on a first to sign up model and there are no cuts.
Eiber also publishes the Eiber Report a blog published on the Island Garden web site and picked up by other sites.
